Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 25(2) of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 19961 (“the Act”).
In accordance with section 25(1) and (2) of the Act, the Secretary of State has—
published in draft a code of practice to replace the code brought into operation on 4th April 20052;
considered representations made to him about the draft and modified the draft accordingly;
laid the revised code of practice before each House of Parliament.
In accordance with section 77(5) of the Act, this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
