25. In this Chapter—
“automatic re-enrolment date”, in relation to a person in eligible service, means a date determined under regulation 12 of the Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Automatic Enrolment) Regulations 2010(1);
“continuous period of eligible service” means a period of eligible service disregarding any period not exceeding 5 years in which the person is not in eligible service(2); and
“first day of eligible service” means the first day of a continuous period of eligible service.

See Chapter 1 of this Part. For the purpose of these Regulations, a member of a police force on a period of unpaid leave from that police force remains in eligible service.
