3. The person who was chair of the General Council immediately before the coming into force of this Order shall, subject to article 3 of the General Osteopathic Council (Constitution) Order 2009(1), continue as chair of the General Council as constituted in accordance with this Order.

Article 3 provides that no member of the General Council can serve as such for more than an aggregate of 8 eights years in any 20 year period.
