2. In this Order—
“the 2014 Order” means the Purbeck District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014(1);
“ordinary day of election of councillors” has the meaning given by section 37 of the Representation of the People Act 1983(2);
“district ward” means a district ward established by article 3 of the Purbeck (Electoral Changes) Order 2013(3).
The Purbeck District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014 was made by Purbeck District Council under section 86(2) of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 (c.28) (“the 2007 Act”). Orders of this kind are not required to be made by statutory instrument.
