The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses (Amendment) Regulations 2014

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State, having consulted such bodies as appear to the Secretary of State representative of the interests concerned(1), makes the following Regulations, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 5(1) and 12(3) of the Employment Agencies Act 1973(2).

A draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 12(5) of the Employment Agencies Act 1973(3) and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

(1)

Section 12(2) of the Employment Agencies Act 1973 requires the Secretary of State to consult with representative bodies before making Regulations under that Act.

1973 c.35; section 5(1) was amended by the Employment Relations Act 1999 (c.26), section 31 and Schedule 7, paragraphs 1 and 2.

(3)

Section 12(5) was amended by the Employment Relations Act 1999 (c.26), section 31 and Schedule 7, paragraphs 1 and 6.
