The Legal Services Act 2007 (Approved Regulator) Order 2014

Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“the Institute”) has applied to the Legal Services Board (“the Board”) under paragraph 3 of Schedule 4 to the Legal Services Act 20071 (“the Act”).
The Board has made a recommendation to the Lord Chancellor under paragraph 16(2) of Schedule 4 to the Act, having complied with the requirements of paragraphs 5, 9 and 11 to 16 of that Schedule and having granted the Institute’s application.
The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order under paragraph 17 of Schedule 4 to the Act.
In accordance with section 206(5) of the Act, a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Legal Services Act 2007 (Approved Regulator) Order 2014 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
Designation of approved regulator2
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales is designated as an approved regulator in relation to probate activities2.
