Coming into force in accordance with regulations 2 and 3

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 92(1) and (2) and 94(1) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012(1).

These Regulations contain only regulations made by virtue of, or consequential upon, Part 4 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 and are made before the end of the period of 6 months beginning with the coming into force of those provisions(2).

See section 173(5)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 (“the 1992 Act”). Sections 92 and 94 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 (“the 2012 Act”) are relevant enactments for the purpose of section 170(5) of the 1992 Act by virtue of an amendment made by paragraph 26(a) of Schedule 9 to the 2012 Act.
