Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2013.
(2) Subject to paragraph (3), these Regulations come into force on 1st September 2013.
(3) Regulation 2(3) comes into force on 1st November 2013.
2.—(1) The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010(3) are amended as follows.
(2) In Schedule 1 (declaration of conformity) in the table at paragraph 4 after item 14 insert—
“15 | A fan driven by a motor with an electric input power between 125W and 500kW | Commission Regulation (EU) No 327/2011 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for fans driven by motors with an electric input power between 125W and 500kW(4) |
16 | A directional lamp, light emitting diode lamp and related equipment | Commission Regulation (EU) No 1194/2012 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for directional lamps, light emitting diode lamps and related equipment(5)”. |
(3) In Schedule 1 in the table at paragraph 4 after item 16 insert—
“17 | A household tumble drier | Commission Regulation (EU) No 932/2012 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for household tumble driers(6)”. |
3.—(1) The Energy Information Regulations 2011(7) are amended as follows.
(2) In the table at Schedule 1 (EU measures) after the entry relating to Televisions insert—
“Electrical lamps and luminaires | Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of electrical lamps and luminaires(8) | 1st September 2013”. |

These Regulations make amendments to the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2617) (“the 2010 Regulations”) and the Energy Information Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1524) and partially implement Commission Regulation (EU) No 327/2011, Commission Regulation (EU) No 1194/2012, Commission Regulation (EU) No 932/2012 and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012 as follows—
(a)regulation 2(2) amends Schedule 1 to the 2010 Regulations to make provision, from 1st September 2013, relating to fans driven by motors with an electric input power between 125W and 500kW and directional lamps, light emitting diode lamps and related equipment;
(b)regulation 2(3) amends Schedule 1 to the 2010 Regulations to make provision, from 1st November 2013, relating to household tumble driers; and
(c)regulation 3 amends Schedule 1 to the Energy Information Regulations 2011 to make provision, from 1st September 2013, relating to electrical lamps and luminaires.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
