Section 567
In section 56(1) (interpretation of Part 1)—
a
in the definition of “environmental licence”, both in relation to the Environment Agency and in relation to SEPA11—
i
in paragraph (aa), insert at the end “, other than regulations made for the purpose of implementing the EU ETS Directive”; and
ii
omit paragraph (k); and
b
after those definitions, insert—
“the EU ETS Directive” means Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a scheme for greenhouse gas emissions allowance trading within the Community and amending Council Directive 96/61/EC, as amended from time to time;
