Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2)
These Regulations are made by the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 54(2) and 154(5)(a) and (c) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011(1).
In accordance with section 7(2)(hb) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000(2), the Secretary of State has consulted the Electoral Commission.
A draft of these Regulations has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament pursuant to section 154(2)(a) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
