Regulation 15A is to be treated as if it were a safety regulation made under section 11 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

Notwithstanding section 12(5) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987, any person guilty of an offence under that section of contravening regulation 15A is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale.
