The Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996 are amended as follows.

In regulation 14(1)(u)(ii)27 for “a local education authority” substitute “a local authority (as defined in section 579 of the Education Act 1996)”.

In regulation 130, in the definition of “education authority” for “a local education authority as defined in section 114(1) of the Education Act 1944” substitute “a local authority as defined in section 579 of the Education Act 1996”.
