2. The day appointed for the purposes of sections 49 and 50(1) of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (abolition of the Urban Regeneration Agency(1) and the Commission for the New Towns(2)) is 1st April 2009.

The URA is the body corporate established by section 158 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (c.28).

The CNT is the body corporate established by section 35 of the New Towns Act 1981 (c.64).
