3.—(1) The electoral divisions of the county of West Sussex are abolished(1).
(2) The county is divided into seventy-one electoral divisions each bearing a name listed in the Schedule.
(3) Each electoral division comprises the area designated on sheet 1 of the map by reference to the name of the electoral division and demarcated by red lines.
(4) One councillor is to be elected for each electoral division.
(5) Where a boundary is shown on the map as running along a road, railway line, footway, watercourse or similar geographical feature, it shall be treated as running along the centre line of the feature.
The electoral divisions that are abolished were established by the County of West Sussex (Electoral Changes) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/175).
