Sections 111 (subsidiary powers of local authorities), 140 (insurance by local authorities against accidents by members), and 151 (financial administration) of the 1972 Act12 shall apply in relation to charter trustees as they apply in relation to parish councils.

Sections 173 to 178 of the 1972 Act13 (allowances) shall apply in relation to charter trustees as if they were the members of the council of a parish for the charter trustee area.

Charter trustees are members of the relevant council for the purposes of section 49 of the Local Government Act 200014 (principles governing conduct of members of relevant authorities).
