The Judgments Enforcement (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 is amended as follows.

In Article 2(2) M1 (general interpretation)—

a

in the definition of “company”, in paragraph (b) for “a company to which Part XXIII of the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 applies” substitute “ incorporated outside Northern Ireland and has an established place of business in Northern Ireland ”;

b

for the definition of “debenture” substitute—

“debenture” has the same meaning as in the Companies Acts (see section 738 of the Companies Act 2006);

c

for the definition of “private company” substitute—

“private company” has the same meaning as in the Companies Acts (see section 4 of the Companies Act 2006);

In Article 58(c) (order charging certain funds, stock etc), for “to which Part XXIII of the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 applies” substitute “ which has an established place of business in Northern Ireland ”.
