The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Secretary of State concerned with the sea fishing industry in Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(3) of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 19671, and now vested in them2, make the following Order.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Lyme Bay Designated Area (Fishing Restrictions) (Amendment) Order 2009; it comes into force on 31st July 2009.

The Lyme Bay Designated Area (Fishing Restrictions) Order 20083 is amended as follows.

In paragraph (2) of article 3 omit “or disembarkation”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the Lyme Bay Designated Area (Fishing Restrictions) Order 2008 to correct the wording of article 3(2). The amendment aligns the words of article 3(2) with those of section 8(2) of the Sea Fisheries Act 1968.

An impact assessment has not been prepared for this Order, as no impact on the private, public or voluntary sector is foreseen.
