EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order revokes the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) Order 1970, the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) (Amendment) Order 1971 and the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) (Amendment) Order 1982 in relation to England and Wales and Scotland. These Orders imposed or modified levies to finance export promotion by the National Wool Textile Export Corporation in connection with the wool textile industry. The Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) Order 1970, as amended, ceases to have effect as respects the imposition of the levy for any period after 30th September 2008.
A full regulatory impact assessment of the effect that this instrument will have on the cost to business and the voluntary sector has been placed in the libraries of both Houses of Parliament.
