The Secretary of State has consulted the Scottish Ministers, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland as required by subsections (5) and (8)(c) of section 107 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (1).
He makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by that section:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2007.
(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006.
2. The following provisions of the Act come into force on 1st April 2007—
(a)sections 73 to 77;
(b)Part 2 of Schedule 11;
(c)Schedule 12, so far as it has not already been commenced.
3. Section 61 of the Act, so far as it has not already been commenced, comes into force on 10th May 2007.

Article 2 of this Order brings into force certain provisions of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (c. 16) (“the Act”) on 1st April 2007.
Article 3 brings into force section 61 of the Act, so far as not already commenced, on 10th May 2007.
