The Courts Act 2003 (Commencement No. 13) Order 2007

The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 110 of the Courts Act 2003(1):

1.  Subsections (2) and (3) of section 50 of the Courts Act 2003 (youth courts) shall come into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force section 50(2) and (3) of the Courts Act 2003. Section 50(2) omits Schedule 2 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 (c.12) (constitution of youth courts) and section 50(3) omits section 146 of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980 (c.43) (rules relating to youth court panels and the composition of youth courts).
