The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 279(2) and 280(1) of the Gambling Act 2005(1).

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Gambling Act 2005 (Exempt Gaming in Alcohol-Licensed Premises) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1st September 2007.

Amendment of the Gambling Act 2005 (Exempt Gaming in Alcohol-Licensed Premises) Regulations 2007

2.—(1) Regulation 2 of the Gambling Act 2005 (Exempt Gaming in Alcohol-Licensed Premises) Regulations 2007(2) is amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (2), for “paragraphs (3) and (4)” substitute “paragraph (3)”.

(3) In paragraph (3), leave out “Subject to paragraph (4)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Gambling Act 2005 (Exempt Gaming in Alcohol-Licensed Premises) Regulations 2007 (S. I. 2007/1940). Regulation 2 removes references to ‘paragraph (4)’ in regulation 2 of those Regulations, given that no such paragraph exists.
