Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Gambling Act 2005 (Exempt Gaming in Alcohol-Licensed Premises) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1st September 2007.

In these Regulations—

  • “the Act” means the Gambling Act 2005, and

  • “poker” includes any version of that game, whatever name it is called.

For the purposes of these Regulations, a reference to a day is a reference to a period of 24 hours beginning at midday.
