Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order, which comes into force on 31st March 2006, amends the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003 (Commencement No.4) Order 2004 so as to extend the period of eighteen months for which section 85(5) of that Act has been brought partially into force in relation to juveniles (it is already fully in force in relation to adults), for the purpose of conducting a pilot. The effect is to extend that period for another six months from 1st April 2006 and so to make possible the continued conduct of the pilot for that extended period in relation to applications for anti-social behaviour orders in the following county courts:-

Bristol, Central London, Clerkenwell, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Leicester, Manchester, Oxford, Tameside, Wigan, and Wrexham.
