“Advanced Skills Teacher” is a concept defined in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document 2005 which can be found at http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/management/payandperformance/pay/2005/School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document 2005/. That document was given effect by the Education (School Teachers' Pay and Conditions) (No. 3) Order (S.I. 2005/2212), made under section 122 of the 2002 Act.
