This Order categorises local authorities in England into ten categories according to performance, namely; 4 stars, 3 stars, 2 stars, 1 star, 0 stars, excellent, good, fair, weak and poor. The categorisation follows a report of the Audit Commission on 31st August 2006. Article 13 of this order revokes the Local Authorities (Categorisation) (England) (No.2) Order 2005.
