The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 86(2)(a)(i) and (ii) and 200(2)(a)(i) and (ii) of the Pensions Act 2004(1).
In accordance with sections 86(2) and 200(2) of that Act, he has consulted with the Pensions Regulator and the Board of the Pension Protection Fund.
Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications. They aim to make the Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified accompany any Statutory Instrument or Draft Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament from June 2004 onwards.
