EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates as a restricted area for the purposes of the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 an area within a distance of 150 metres from the site of the wreck of the St. Anthony, off the coast of Gunwalloe Fishing Cove, Cornwall.

An area around the site was previously designated as a restricted area under the Protection of Wrecks (Designation No.1) Order 1982. This Order corrects the position of the restricted area, extends the restricted area from 75 to 150 metres and varies the 1982 Order to exclude reference to the wreck of the St. Anthony.

The co-ordinates are identified with reference to the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS 84).
