The Council of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees (hereinafter referred to as “the Council” make this Scheme in exercise of their powers under section 106(3) of the Highways Act 1980 and all powers enabling them in that behalf.
1. The Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the River Tees upstream of the Tees Barage the bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme as part of the highway which they are proposing to construct between the South Bank of the River Tees from Grid Point Reference 445396.059-518973.193 to the North Bank of the River Tees Grid Point Reference 445427.520-519150.422.
2. The Scheme may be cited as The Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council North Shore Development (North Shore Footbridge) Scheme 2006.
