2.—(1) The matters specified in paragraph (2) are to be included in a local policing summary.
(2) The matters are–
(a)a statement of the police authority’s priorities for the year(1);
(b)an assessment of the extent to which the police force met the priorities set for the previous year; and
(c)an assessment of the extent to which the police force has met the strategic policing priorities (if any) set by the Secretary of State (2).
Police authorities are required to set priorities for the year and publish them in the local policing plan made under section 8 of the Police Act 1996 to which there are amendments not relevant to the subject matter of this Order.
Strategic policing priorities are set by the Secretary of State under section 36A of the Police Act 1996 which was inserted by section 1 of the Police Reform Act 2002 (c. 30).
