These Rules may be cited as the Civil Procedure (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2005 and shall come into force forthwith.

In these Rules a reference to a Part or rule by number alone means the Part or rule so numbered in the Civil Procedure Rules 19983.

In rule 1.2 (application by the court of the overriding objective) at the end of paragraph (b) insert “, subject to rule 76.2”.

After Part 75, insert Part 76 (Proceedings under the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005), as set out in the Schedule.
