Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Education and Skills makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1 and 4(2) of the Education Act 19621, section 26(3B)2 and (3C)3 and 59(4) and (5) of the Children Act 19894, sections 22 and 42(6) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 19985, section 1 of the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 19996, sections 3(4)(b), 9(1), 53(1) to (3), 54, 56-64, 98, and 140(1) and (7) of the Adoption and Children Act 20027.

In accordance with section 16(1)8 of the Adoption (Intercountry Aspects) Act 1999, the Secretary of State has consulted with the National Assembly for Wales in relation to the exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of that Act.
