The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1 and 6(1) of the Government Trading Funds Act 1973(1), with the concurrence of the Treasury, makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Forensic Science Service Trading Fund (Revocation) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 5th December 2005.
2. The Forensic Science Service Trading Fund Order 1998(2) is revoked.

This Order revokes the Forensic Science Service Trading Fund Order 1998 (“the 1998 Order”). As a result of the revocation, the trading fund established by the 1998 Order ceases to exist and the operations of the Forensic Science Service (as described in Schedule 1 to the 1998 Order) cease to be financed by means of a trading fund and its assets and liabilities are no longer appropriated to a trading fund.
