In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 79V of the Children Act 1989(1), the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 3rd October 2005.
2. For the Schedule to the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) Regulations 2001(2) there shall be substituted the Schedule to these Regulations.

These Regulations amend the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) Regulations 2001 by changing the references to the National Standards Documents to reflect the current published documents. These documents are published by the Department for Education and Skills and are available free of charge from the DfES Publications Centre, Nottingham (telephone: 0845 602 2260/facsimile: 0845 603 3360).
