The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 82(2), 83(1) and 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted with the chief officer of Kent Police, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the A21 Trunk Road (School Hill and Spray Hill, Lamberhurst) (Restricted Road) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 23rd March 2005.
2. The lengths of the A21 Trunk Road specified in the Schedule to this Order shall be a restricted road for the purposes of section 81 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The lengths of the A21 trunk road at Lamberhurst in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells in the County of Kent to be a restricted road are:
(a)School Hill, from a point 105 metres north of the access from the trunk road to Grantham Hall to a point 15 metres south of the junction between the trunk road and Parsonage Lane, a total distance of approximately 570 metres (all distances are measured along that length of road), and
(b)Spray Hill, from a point 110 metres south of the southern end of the Lamberhurst Village Green to a point 35 metres north west of the southern roundabout constructed as part of the A21 Lamberhurst bypass, a total distance of approximately 871 metres (all distances are measured along that length of road).
1984 c. 27; sections 82(2) and 83(1) were amended by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (c. 22), section 168 and Schedule 8, paragraphs 59(3) and 60(2); section 84(1) was substituted by the Road Traffic Act 1991 (c. 40), section 45(2); and section 84(2) was substituted by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (c. 22), section 168 and Schedule 8, paragraph 61.
