Appointed days for provisions relating to both the Commission for Social Care Inspection and the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection

5.—(1) 11th March 2004 is the appointed day for the coming into force of—

(a) section 43 of, and Schedule 8 to, the 2003 Act, and

(b) paragraphs 16 and 23(b) of Schedule 9 and section 147 insofar as it relates to those paragraphs of that Schedule for the purpose of making regulations under sections 31(7) and 51(1) of the Care Standards Act 2000(1).

(2) 1st April 2004 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the 2003 Act—

(a) sections 102, 108, 120 to 121, 123 and 146; and

(b) paragraphs 2, 14, 16 to 20, 22 and 23(a), 25, 29 and 30 of Schedule 9, and section 147 insofar as it relates to those paragraphs of that Schedule.
