Amendment of the General Dental Council (Constitution of Committees) Order of Council 2003
2.—(1) The General Dental Council (Constitution of Committees) Order of Council 2003(1) shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this article.
(2) In article 1(2) (citation, commencement and interpretation), in the definition of “fitness to practise function” there shall be inserted, after “Professional Conduct Committee”, “, the Continuing Professional Development Committee”.
(3) In article 2(1) (re-constitution of the General Dental Council’s Committees), after sub-paragraph (c), “and” shall be omitted and, at the end, there shall be added the following—
“and
(e)the Continuing Professional Development Committee.”.
(4) At the end there shall be added a new article 7 as follows—
“Constitution of the Continuing Professional Development Committee
7. The membership of the Continuing Professional Development Committee shall consist of five appropriate persons, of whom at least two shall be registered dentists and at least two shall be lay persons.”.
