The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 175(1), (3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(1), sections 10(6), 79(1), (4) and (6) and 84 of the Social Security Act 1998(2) and sections 7(4), 15(3), (4), (6)(a) and (b), and 17(1) of the State Pension Credit Act 2002(3), and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals to make these Regulations should not be referred to it(4), hereby makes the following Regulations:
1992 c. 4; section 175(1) and (4) were amended by the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) Act 1999 (c. 11), Schedule 2, paragraph 29; section 175(1), (3) and (4) are applied to provisions of the State Pension Credit Act (c. 16) by section 19(1) of that Act.
1998 c. 14; section 84 is cited because of the meaning it gives to “prescribe”.
2002 c. 16; section 17(1) is cited because of the meaning it gives to “prescribed”.
