The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is about 1.4 kilometres in length, situated in the District of Selby in the County of North Yorkshire. It starts from the A63 Trunk Road at Barlby Junction with the A19 Trunk Road (marked “A” on the deposited plan), going in a south easterly direction to a point 65 metres south east of Bridge Farm south of Osgodby village (marked “B” on the deposited plan) and is shown by broad black dashes on the plan numbered HA10/TD/006, marked “The A63 Trunk Road (Barlby Junction to Bridge Farm) (Detrunking) Order 2004”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport, and deposited at ODPM-DfT Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.
