The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 4 of the European Parliamentary Elections Act 2002(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the European Parliamentary Elections (Appointed Day of Poll) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 9th February 2004.
2. The poll at the next general election of Members of the European Parliament shall be held on 10th June 2004.

This Order appoints 10th June 2004 as the day of the poll for the next general election of MEPs.
2002 c. 24. The 2002 Act is amended by sections 1 and 8 of, and the Schedule to, the European Parliament (Representation) Act 2003 (c. 7) and section 4 of the 2002 Act was extended to Gibraltar by section 19 of the 2003 Act.
