1987 c. 38; section 6 was substituted by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (c. 33), section 144(5), and is repealed by the Criminal Justice Act 2003 (c. 44), Schedule 3, Part 2, paragraphs 58(1) and (2) and Schedule 37, Part 4, with effect from a day to be appointed by the Secretary of State.
