4.—(1) Regulation 2 shall be amended in accordance with this regulation.
(2) For “Swiss Agreement” there shall be substituted “Switzerland Agreement”.
(3) The following shall be inserted after the definition of “Metropolitan Police District”:—
““new academic term” means any academic term beginning on or after 1 September 2004;
“new payment” means a payment made under these Regulations as amended by the Education (Mandatory Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 2004;
“old payment” means a payment which would have been made under these Regulations if they had not been amended by the Education (Mandatory Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 2004.”
