This Order designates the District of Bath and North East Somerset, with the exceptions of the high-speed dual carriageway sections of the A4 in the district, the entire length of the A46 within the district, and a stretch of the A36 within the district, (each such exception as further defined in article 3 of this Order) as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. The Order applies the specified provisions of Part II of that Act, with some modifications, to the designated area. It also modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area.
