The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(1) and (2) of the Redundant Churches and other Religious Buildings Act 1969 (1) and now vested in her (2), with the approval of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order in the terms of a draft approved by resolution of the House of Commons:
1969 c. 22. Section 1(1) has effect subject to section 13 of the Pastoral (Amendment) Measure 1994 (1994 No. 1). Section 13(1) changed the name of the Redundant Churches Fund to the Churches Conservation Trust. The effect of section 13(2) is to require the reference to the Redundant Churches Fund in section 1(1) of the Redundant Churches and other Religious Buildings 1969 to be construed as a reference to the Churches Conservation Trust.
