Increase of endowment
2. For the purposes of increasing the amount of the endowment of the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (“NESTA”), the Secretary of State is to be permitted to pay to NESTA the sum of £95,000,000 out of the money held in the National Lottery Distribution Fund and allocated, in accordance with section 22(3)(f) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993(1), for expenditure on or connected with health, education or the environment.

Subsection (3)(f) of section 22 was inserted by section 6(2) of the National Lottery Act 1998, and amended by SI 2000/3356.
