(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These regulations amend and update specific references in three sets of regulations in order to take account of changes in the law concerning teachers' work, qualifications and registration made by sections 132, 133 and 134 of the Education Act 2002.
In addition the General Teaching Council for England (Additional Functions) Order 2001 (S.I. 2001/1214) is revoked because the functions conferred by that Order are no longer exercisable by the GTCE following the changes mentioned above.
The following regulations are amended —
The Further Education Teachers' Qualifications (England) Regulations 2001(S.I. 2001/1209)
The Education Fast Track Bursaries and Grants (England) Regulations 2001 (S.I. 2001/3071)
The General Teaching Council for England (Deduction of Fees) Regulations 2001 (S.I. 2001/3993)
