6.—(1) For “television broadcasting service”, wherever those words appear in the definition of “relevant broadcaster” in article 1(2) and in article 2(1) and (2)(a), substitute “television programme service”.
(2) In article 1(2), for the definition of “television broadcasting service” substitute—
““television programme service” has the same meaning as in Part I of the 1990 Act(1).”
See section 71(1) which provides that, in Part I of the Broadcasting Act 1990, “television programme service” shall have the meaning given by section 2(4) of that Act. Section 2(4) was amended by paragraphs 1 and 12 of Schedule 10, and Part I of Schedule 11, to the Broadcasting Act 1996 (c. 55), and by S.I. 1997/1682.
