These Regulations amend the Road Transport (International Passenger Services) Regulations 1984. They provide that—
(a)the fee for a shuttle service authorisation or a regular service authorisation is increased from £140 to £144.20; and
(b)a new fee is introduced for an own-account certificate, at the rate of £5 for each year of validity.
An own-account certificate is a certificate issued in accordance with the Common Rules for the International Carriage of Passengers by Coach and Bus (Regulation (EEC) 684/92 as amended by (EC) 11/98) to non-profit making bodies, such as schools, local authorities and scout clubs, for their own transport.
Other fees payable under the 1984 Regulations are unchanged. The fees were last changed in 1990.
