2. The code of practice about the identification of persons by police officers (Code D) issued under section 66 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 for the time being in force(1) is to be treated as having effect for the period of two years beginning with the date on which this Order comes into force with the modifications set out in the Schedule to this Order.
