The Breaking the Cycle Bridgewater Education Action Zone (Extension) Order 2002

Whereas an application for the purpose of extending an Education Action Zone has been made to the Secretary of State with the consent of the governing bodies of every school participating therein.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Breaking the Cycle Bridgewater Education Action Zone (Extension) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 10th January 2003.

Interpretation

2.—(1) In this Order—

“Breaking the Cycle Bridgewater Education Action Zone” means the Education Action Zone established by the Breaking the Cycle Bridgewater Education Action Zone Order 1999(2).

The extension of the Breaking the Cycle Bridgewater Education Action Zone

3.  The Breaking the Cycle Bridgewater Education Action Zone is extended for a further period of two years beginning with 10th January 2003.
