The Port of Larne (Pilotage Functions) Order 2002

Whereas Larne Harbour Limited is a harbour authority within the meaning of the Pilotage Act 1987(1) (“the 1987 Act”) for the port of Larne but is not a competent harbour authority within the meaning of the 1987 Act;
And whereas Larne Harbour Limited has applied to be treated as a competent harbour authority for the purposes of the 1987 Act;
And whereas the Secretary of State has informed the persons he considers may be affected by the Order, in accordance with section 1(7) of the 1987 Act;
And whereas no objection has been made to the making of this Order;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(4) of the 1987 Act, hereby makes the following Order:
